This year marks the 25th anniversary of International Infection Prevention Week, a milestone in the infection prevention and control arena. During this week facilities around the world will celebrate the critically important work of the Infection Control Practitioner (ICP). The value of infection prevention and control programs cannot be underestimated. The changes in clinical practice and the advancements in preventative measures have been imperative in enhancing the safety of patients and staff.

CHRISP would like to celebrate the history of infection prevention and control by acknowledging the significant events that have shaped the infection prevention and control practices of today.
